The (oil) seeds of progress

The National Institute of Oilseed Products (NIOP) has remained at the forefront of development and concerns relating to the future of the oilseed industry. Here’s how – and why – Ring is involved.

NIOP is concerned with the buying, selling, processing, shipping, storage and use of vegetable oils and raw materials.

As both the market leader in edible oil packaging and an NIOP member for more than a decade, Ring is proud to collaborate with members across the globe on the packaging of edible oil.

Our involvement with NIOP also goes together with the work we do to create reliable, sustainable solutions for all our customers, including food processors and manufacturers that turn to us for their packaging needs.

A reliability commitment to customers

There is reliability with Ring.

Whether during the height of COVID-19 related closures or amid supply chain and inflation issues, we have remained a rare outlier in that our customers have not experienced disruptions in the delivery of our products.

Such an achievement is made possible by robust quality assurance processes and our institutional commitment to staying close to the drawing board.

Supporting the work of NIOP

Our deep connections with fellow members of NIOP – including our own Tom Kerstetter serving on its Board of Directors – have made us aware of the complex and changing needs of the edible oil space.

We have seen up close their work to adapt to new legislation, to regulation around biofuels, and the development of bio and renewable diesel products. Our commitment to reliability is what allows us to play a role in ensuring their seamless participation in the supply chain, whatever challenges and changes they face.

It is a connection we are truly grateful for – and look forward to deepening in the coming years.
